THE BLANKET EXERCISE
IS A LEARNING TOOL FIRST DEVELOPED IN CANADA THAT LEADS A GROUP OF PARTICIPANTS THROUGH 500+ YEARS OF INDIGENOUS HISTORY THAT HIGHLIGHTS OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH EUROPEAN EXPLORERS, COLONIAL SETTLERS, AND THE U.S. FEDERAL AND STATE GOVERNMENTS. EVENTS TELL THE AMERICAN HISTORY FROM AN INDIGENOUS PERSPECTIVE. CREATED TO BRING AWARENESS, UNDERSTANDING, PRESERVATION, TRUTH AND RECOGNITION OF NATIVE AMERICAN CULTURE, TRADITIONS, AND CEREMONIES TO BOTH INDIGENOUS AND NON-INDIGENOUS PEOPLE.

OUR STORY
United Tribes is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enriching lives by connecting individuals through Native American Cultural Education and Teachings. Our platform offers a rich cultural experience through articles, videos, and online courses, promoting understanding and appreciation of Native traditions.

We are a group of indigenous people and allies who have come together to pray and bring people back to
the circle. Many of us have been activists dating back to the original American Indian Movement in 1960s thru our activism today for many tomorrows to come.
Recently joining Frank Washington, his family and others to form the Coalition to Save Historic Thoroughfare. Our collective on-going efforts to stop the destruction and preserve African and Native American Gravesites and bring awareness to the desecration of 70 gravesites in Prince William County, VA. Our group collectively was presented a Human Rights Award for our tireless contributions to human and civil rights. Our fight continues go to our Facebook page to follow the story.
We have fought for causes that are dear to our hearts ranging from the freedom of Leonard Peltier, advocating for equal religious rights, supporting our incarcerated sisters and brothers, protecting our natural resources and water, and most importantly educating our people who have lost touch with their history about our beautiful and rich traditions, history, and ceremonies.
Today we are joined by the younger generations who have seen our work and have joined in our cause and purpose. Together we will see these traditions passed on to the next seven generations.
Through our cultural events and educational resources, we aim to create a bridge between different communities, fostering unity and respect for diverse cultures. Join us in this journey of discovery and learning.
